about me

Hi.

Before we begin this dining experience, let me take a moment to introduce myself, and how we got here.

first course

My journey began in Corpus Christi, Texas, under the auspices of oil rigs, cawing seagulls, and the indomitable Texas heat. I grew up surrounded by a diversity of culture and cuisine, where sitting around the table with music permeating the air was your sense of home, your connection to those around you.

And so when I left Texas for college, I went to NYU to pursue my first passion and study music business. I subsequently spent a few years getting my feet wet in the industry, working with record labels (Republic, The Orchard), music supervision houses (Flavorlab), and artist management companies (C3 Presents).

Wanting to work in live events, I joined the team at production glue. From the get-go I was working on and collaborating with high-profile brands such as Nike, Frieze Art Fair, and Yahoo! for larger-than-life activations. It was here that I honed my design and branding skills, collaborating with dozens of talented designers on internal and external projects. I then moved over to Intelligence Squared U.S., where I had the opportunity to straddle multiple marketing disciplines and hone my creative and design skills further within a multimedia company and live event series.

The pandemic. The great recalibration. After going through 2020 in New York, I felt in need of a change, one that would return me to my original passions. So I found myself trailing at a French restaurant in Brooklyn, testing my ideas of what a chef’s life is actually like, and testing my home-grown culinary skills. And before I knew it, I was cooking on the line during the summer heat, developing dishes, and expediting during service. I learned what it meant to push myself, physically and creatively, in pursuit of an endless cycle of invention and perfection.

All of these experiences were building towards this destination, developing flavors and building experience that I can now draw upon. Cooking, music, these passions fuel my work, and give shape to both my creative and marketing projects . As a multi-disciplinarian at heart, I find true joy in taking on diverse challenges, finding the common thread among disparate ingredients, and creating something new yet familiar.
