Intelligence Squared U.S. is America’s leading non-profit, non-partisan debate organization. In my position as the creative and marketing strategist, I owned all creative direction, including web design, digital and event marketing, advertising, and analytics and optimization.

As a live debate series, I created stage graphics and broadcast graphic elements, the first online voting system for the show, printed items such as banners and brochures, and ran the streaming operation.
Working with partner clients such as IBM, Bloomberg, The German Marshall Fund, and the Center on Foreign Relations, I collaborated with their internal teams to deliver a seamless co-branded live event, that was also live broadcast across multiple channels.

In addition to each live event, we also produced engaging interviews and new debate formats that kept long-standing listeners and new subscribers tuning in for more.
Marketing: spearhead audience growth strategies, promo barters, communication and editorial plan
Advertising: creation and implementation of internal audio promos, ad strategy and planning
Producing: Content ideation, scheduling, audio editing, system management, and adaptation of content for social media

For each event, we produced a piece of original art that gave users a sense of the topic, and subsequently produced additional art informed by that central work.

As a 15+ year old brand, Intelligence Squared U.S. wanted to explore updating their branding and design language to be more modern, fluid, and adaptive with the changes in content that had grown out of the organization’s long history. Working closely with our long standing designer, we created a new logo and style guide that reflected those changes.
